Sophia von Verschuer studied law, as well as German studies and sociology. She conducted research on labor market policy at the Hertie School of Governance. As a Diversity Officer in the Human Resources Department of the State of Berlin, she worked on the implementation of anti-discrimination laws. She eventually followed her calling to the legal profession and transitioned into private practice. Initially employed as an associate in nationwide law firms specializing in labor law, she later joined forces with Attorney Leonie Thum to establish her own practice.
Sophia von Verschuer exclusively advises and represents employees and their representatives on all matters related to individual and collective labor law. A key focus of her work is the advice and representation of employees with disabilities. She also provides training to works councils (Betriebsräte) and representatives for disabled employees (Schwerbehindertenvertretung) on matters related to labor and disability law.
